At Blakes Crossing Christian College, we recognise the pressures Senior students face as they navigate life beyond school. That's why we're committed to walking alongside them, helping each student discover their passions, set meaningful goals, and make confident decisions about their future pathways.
Through a combination of tailored support, real-world experiences, and SACE-aligned learning, we equip students with the tools they need for life after school. Our support includes:
-
Integration with SACE subjects Exploring Identities & Futures (EIF) and Activating Identities & Futures (AIF)
-
Annual attendance at the SA Career Expo
-
The Career Awareness Program, delivered in partnership with the University of Adelaide
-
Formal Work Experience in Year 10
-
Personalised subject counselling
-
Access to our dedicated Pathways Team for one-on-one mentoring and personalised guidance upon request
At BCCC, every student is seen, supported, and encouraged to step confidently into their future.
Vocational Education & Training (VET)
Vocational Education & Training (VET) is your chance to gain real-world skills, earn SACE credits, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification - all while you're still in Year 11 or 12.
At BCCC, VET students usually attend training one day per week off-campus with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). It's a smart way to fast-track your career, explore your interests, and build a solid foundation for life after school.
Why Choose VET?
VET is ideal for students who:
-
Want to get a head-start on their career while still at school
-
Are interested in apprenticeships, including School-Based Apprenticeships
-
Want to graduate with a Certificate II or III that leads straight into the workforce
-
Have a passion for a particular industry and want hands-on experience
VET at BCCC: Your Pathway, Your Passion
At BCCC, we're proud to offer Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology (Veta Morphus) onsite, giving students the opportunity to grow in their faith while gaining a formal qualification, all during the school week. This is lead by our amazing Chaplain and Peer Group Supervisor, Angus Green.
